Job Description
Overview Headquartered in Cornelia, Georgia, GlobalTech Industries is one of the leading manufacturers of candle products in the United States, serving National-brand wholesalers to smaller, independent companies. The company employs up to 300 people, operating multiple shifts daily. GlobalTech is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Quality Control and Compliance Manager to ensure the quality standards of internal and external goods and products are met, while maintaining compliance for audits and other scheduled reports. This role requires attention to detail, flexibility, and a proactive approach to problem solving. Duties Become knowledgeable of GlobalTech's manufacturing and operational processes and procedures Work with Lab personnel in coordinating submissions and approvals for production, including burn approvals and fragrance approvals Implement internal- and customer-supplied quality assurance procedures with incoming raw materials, product manufacturing, packaging, shipping and any customer-supplied materials Recommend, use, develop, and implement procedures in keeping with the internal quality standards of GlobalTech when customer quality assurance procedures are not specified Provide and maintain all internal or customer required communication, paperwork, documents, product retains and samples Supervise all Quality Control personnel, ensuring thorough auditing processes and paperwork are followed and completed Assist with implementation of line setup when new products are produced Travel to offsite warehouses to complete floor inspections, verify weights, and conduct outgoing inspections when needed (5-mile radius) Schedule and provide documentation for annual and quarterly audits and compliance requirements (CAPA, environmental, etc.) Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and SOP Manual Foster and maintain a professional working relationship with the Management team and other employees, as well as outside customers and suppliers Ensure team adheres to safety standards and practices Requirements A minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality Control or similar position Knowledge of practices, reporting, and documentation as it relates to quality control standards Ability to manage people, tasks, and problem solve Proficiency in
