Reporting to the Plant Manager, this role develops teams and drives continuous improvement to ensure production lines operate effectively, resources are optimized, and customer expectations are met.
Responsibilities Drive customer focused manufacturing Quality improvement projects, from initiation to realization of improved performance.
Implement and assure compliance with the requirements of the US windows QMSPrepare advanced quality planning documents and participate in quality planning activities, including FMEA's, Process Flow Diagrams, Control Charts and Gage R&R studies.
Using the key metrics data, develop improvement plan, present it to PLT and facilitate implementationProvide quality engineering expertise and utilize specialized skillsDrive corrective and preventive action program, from initiation to resolution of itemsDevelop positive relationships and work closely with line supervisor to manage and implement engineering changes, process improvements and new part or product introductions, CQVDeliver results as measured by key metrics such as defect rates PPM, cost of quality and corrective action closureIncorporate Lean Methodology into process improvement to improve product qualityAct as an internal consultant to improve quality and manufacturing processesEnsure material/component specifications exist and are accurate for all parts Hire, train, and monitor QC tech to assist in process and quality improvement Work closely with customers and suppliers to resolve quality opportunities and drive improvements. Develop plant/product specific employee training to build quality awareness. Participate in interplant, cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical problems and customer issues. QualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experienceSix Sigma certification preferred.The successful candidate will have at least 5+ years of manufacturing experience and at least 2 years of quality experience.Enthusiastic about the value quality brings to the manufacturing process and passionate about keeping technical skills up to date, understanding best practices, and deploying quality systems to achieve goals and targets. Displays a strong ability to use data to rationally analyze and solve issues. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to train and develop staff.Proven ability to drive Quality, performance, and cultural transformations.Thorough understanding of quality standards and methodologies.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, or across shifts as business needs require.Additional InformationSite Address:
