Job Description

We are seeking a Cytology Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the cytology department, ensuring efficient workflow, quality performance, and compliance with regulatory standards. The supervisor will lead a team, provide technical oversight, and manage staffing, scheduling, and development, while maintaining high-quality technical standards and turnaround times.
Responsibilities:
Supervise daily operations of the cytology department, including staff hiring, scheduling, training, and performance evaluations. Perform cytotechnologist duties as needed. Manage workflow, resource allocation, and scheduling to meet established goals. Provide staff development and feedback to enhance performance. Oversee the procurement of supplies and equipment, ensuring budgetary adherence and efficiency. Offer technical oversight and problem-solving for workflow and process improvements. Monitor specimen testing and ensure compliance with quality assurance and turnaround time goals. Ensure regulatory compliance through documentation, audits, and corrective actions. Interact with internal and external customers regarding sample handling and issue resolution. Assist with updating departmental standard operating procedures and ensuring implementation of departmental goals.
Schedule:
