Quality Assurance Manager - Structural Steel (AISC / AWS) Idaho Falls, ID Competitive pay depending on experience Overview We are seeking a senior-level Quality Assurance Manager to lead quality across fabrication and field operations. This role is responsible for ensuring all work meets contract requirements and governing standards including AWS and AISC. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on audit readiness, accountability, and reducing rework. Key Responsibilities Lead and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with AISC Own internal/external audits, including AISC audits Ensure compliance with AWS, AISC, , and project specifications Manage NCRs, root cause analysis, and corrective actions Oversee welding procedures (WPS/PQR) and welder qualifications Lead QC staff and drive accountability across shop and field Track and report quality metrics to leadership Participate in continuous improvement events across production and quality Requirements 5+ years in structural steel fabrication, erection, or similar industry Proven experience leading quality programs or teams Direct experience with AISC certification and audits Strong knowledge of AWS D1.1 and D1.8, bolting standards, and inspection practices Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications Preferred Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) Experience with Tekla PowerFab and/or Raken What We're Looking For A hands-on leader who will hold the line on quality Strong communicator who works well with field, shop, and leadership
