full-time MAU is hiring a Quality Control Manager for Atkore in Harvey, IL. As a Quality Control Manager, you will manage the day-to-day activities of the Quality department for the Harvey plant's manufacturing and shipping operations, lead customer-driven quality improvements, and support plant-level process improvement activities. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

2015 standards and Quality Management Systems Proficiency in creating, conducting, and analyzing data Ability to conduct complex problem-solving and root cause analysis Advanced proficiency in MS Office and statistical analysis packages Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization Confidence in making decisions Hands-on manufacturing floor experience, including problem-solving and troubleshooting with operators Ability to coach, teach, and improve processes Direct customer interaction experience Experience applying lean principles in a project Team-player mentality and self-starter approach Essential Functions Manage the day-to-day activities of the Quality department for the Harvey plant's manufacturing and shipping operations and support plant-level process improvement activities. Develop and lead the Quality department to meet the demands of customer-driven quality improvements. Perform and document root cause investigations for customer complaints. Perform and document root cause investigations related to product and component rejections. Improve customer satisfaction by reducing or preventing customer complaints. Coordinate with the Value Stream Manager to develop and conduct training on quality standards, measurement devices, quality alerts, procedure changes, and related topics. Ensure effective manufacturing process control programs maintain a focus on Built in Quality and the prevention of internal rejects. Perform periodic internal audits of the Quality System to ensure it is effectively established and maintained in compliance with

ISO 9001

2015. Create assessment-based qualifications for incoming Quality Assurance Technicians and manage qualifications through a Skills Matrix. Manage relationships and product compliance issues with customers and agencies, including UL and CSA. Present quality data and analysis to the management team. Support plant cost reductions and process improvement projects using Quality tools, including FMEA, process capability, Gage R&R, SPC, Pareto analysis, and other Six Sigma/Lean tools. Manage direct reports, including two Engineers and a Senior Analyst, with the team potentially reaching 10-12 employees. Make decisions and own the quality process. Investigate quality issues at other nearby plants as needed. Coach and teach employees to improve processes. Troubleshoot issues with operators on the manufacturing floor. Perform other duties as assigned.
