Quality Assurance Manager Kaiser Pickles Location:
Multiple locations within 40-minute drive of main facility (Aurora, IN area)

  • $75,000 per year (based on experience)

  • Thursday About the Role We are seeking a hands-on Quality Assurance Manager to lead our QA operations, ensure food safety compliance, and drive continuous improvement in our pickle production facility.
This role combines supervisory responsibilities with technical expertise in lab analysis, HACCP, and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Serve as overall Quality Assurance Manager and HACCP Leader, directing team activities, chairing HACCP meetings, and maintaining food safety programs (including SSOP management and audit preparation). Oversee and perform product analysis, raw material testing against specifications, line sampling, and end-of-month summary reporting. Oversee oil and brine production, recipe formulation adjustments, and plant procedure updates. Manage and mentor lab technicians, including equipment calibration, hazardous materials inventory, and daily lab operations. Act as primary contact for customer complaints, product dispositions, and company representation during audits/inspections. Lead R&D initiatives, pest control supervision, and quality system improvements to support production excellence. Required Qualifications Associate degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, or closely related field (required).
Certifications:
HACCP (16-hour), SQF Practitioner, PCQI, LACF training (or ability to obtain quickly). Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook for data entry, reporting, and communication. Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and maintain compliance in a food manufacturing environment.
Physical requirement:
