Job Description

Fielding & Engineering Supervisor - Metronet
POSITION SUMMARY
The Fielding & Engineering Supervisor is responsible for establishing and implementing an efficient QC process of pole applications received from Pole Line Engineers and contractors to ensure high quality engineering is being produced. This is to be accomplished while maintaining full compliance with all applicable Federal, State and Local rules and regulations and company-established standards. The Fielding & Engineering Supervisor will maintain communication with all engineers, pole owners, quality control, permitting team and anyone necessary, to ensure they collect all required information to build the pole submittal package and efficiently submit the application.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Oversee pole engineering team and QC process is being adhered to throughout the build process and that quality schedule is being followed Develop and continuously improve an efficient QC process - including all documentation needed for a formal manual and training new team members on this process Ensure that internal engineers and contractors are communicated with to improve engineering performance/quality Lead the team on conducting full QC analysis on pole applications and provide training/updates on associate feedback Review and annotate Map site files submitted by pole engineering team and provide revisions Locate entities on pole and height of each attachment based on pole owners approval through permit Run reports and data for QC analysis of team performance Review Fielding and Engineering QC data to forecast all upcoming, submitted and completed pole applications All other duties as assigned
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Highschool Diploma or GED required Associate degree or relevant equivalent experience preferred 2 years of Telecommunications Field experience is preferred Previous experience managing or leading teams preferred Experience with O-Calc Pro and knowledge of IKEGPS/Katapult is required Knowledge of Microsoft Office with emphasis on Microsoft Excel. Demonstrated experience quantifying data and providing trend analysis Excellent Written & Verbal Communication Skills Metronet is an equal opportunity employer.
