The Quality Supervisor reports to the Quality manager and provides support to the Plant Manager and Operations team. This position has responsibility to provide leadership and direction to the Quality Analysts for the facility. In addition, they will be responsible for the implementation, execution, and improvement of our quality systems. This includes, but is not limited to, Product Qualification Systems, Corrective and Preventive Actions, Process Control Improvements, Continuous Improvement Projects, and Customer Satisfaction Improvement Programs.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide Leadership and direction to the Quality Analysts. Mentors direct reports to grow the quality system. Provide support to the Quality Manager, Plant Manager and operations on various projects and programs as required. Interacts with vendors and internal supplier quality team. Supports document control system through initiation and maintenance of documents necessary for the business. Oversees incoming/receiving inspection activities Conducts and documents PPAP activities as required Oversee all aspects of daily Quality Control activities to support manufacturing. Execute procedures for first article inspection process, random process audits and finished good dock audits to assure product meets our expectations Conduct process analyses to understand current process capability and develop opportunities for continual improvement Develop and execute various physical tests to validate product conformance to performance specifications Develop and implement customer satisfaction improvement programs Interface with engineering and manufacturing to perform root cause analysis of non-conformances and assist with corrective action. Manages nonconforming material system, determines containment parameters, implements and monitors any rework activities. Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree 3 years minimum of quality supervision experience 5 -10 years minimum Manufacturing experience Proficiency in Problem solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5-why, A3, Shanin, etc.) Participating team member and/or managed APQP documentation (PFD, PCP, PFMEA, DFMEA) Process certification methodologies (e.g., PPAP) ISO 9001 or equivalent experience Critical thinker Demonstrates strong interpersonal and project management skills Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrates ability to perform in a team environment High energy, initiative-taking, enthusiastic, well organized.
