Job Description

Position Title:
Quality Manager Position Summary The Quality Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, implementation, and effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with IATF 16949 and all applicable customer-specific requirements. This role owns both strategic and operational quality performance, ensuring that all products meet customer requirements while driving continuous improvement and risk reduction across the organization. Key Responsibilities QMS Ownership & Compliance Serve as site owner of the QMS. Ensure compliance to IATF 16949 and all customer-specific requirements. Lead Management Review and establish quality objectives and KPIs.
Ensure effectiveness of:
Internal audits Layered Process Audits (LPA) Document control and training systems Drive risk-based thinking including FMEA, Control Plans, and contingency planning. Customer & External Interface Primary contact for all customer quality issues and escalations. Lead customer audits, scorecards, and corrective actions. Ensure timely and effective resolution of customer complaints (8D). Interface with customers on APQP, PPAP, and engineering changes. APQP, Launch & Change Management Lead APQP activities from award through PPAP approval.
Ensure:
On-time PPAP submission and approval Effective Safe Launch / GP-12 execution Approve Control Plans, PFMEA, and inspection strategies. Ensure all process changes are validated and documented. Operational Quality Leadership Monitor and drive plant quality performance: Customer PPM Scrap and rework Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) Ensure production processes remain in control: SPC implementation and reaction plans Traceability and lot control Validate process capability and stability. Problem Solving & Corrective Action Lead root cause analysis using: 8D 5-Why Fishbone Ensure corrective actions are implemented and verified for effectiveness. Drive systemic improvements from recurring issues. Supplier Quality Manage supplier quality performance and development. Ensure supplier PPAP compliance and incoming quality control. Lead supplier corrective actions and audits as required. Inspection & Measurement Systems Ensure effectiveness of: MSA (GR&R) Calibration systems Approve gauge strategies, measurement techniques, and fixture readiness. Ensure robust First Piece Approval process is defined and followed. Leadership & Team Development Lead and develop quality personnel, including Assistant Quality Manager and inspectors. Ensure competency, training, and performance management. Establish accountability for quality across all departments. Minimum Training Requirements Core QMS & Standards

Pay:
$70,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
