POSITION SUMMARY
The Assistant QA Manager is responsible for the assisting the QA manager in daily operations with leadership and direction of a globally diverse Quality Assurance team in the delivery of internal and external quality assurance services, in support of one or more business units to ensure timely delivery of high quality deliverables.

Essential Functions Statement(s) Manages and leads the Quality Assurance Team setting goals and priorities in conjunction with the QA manager Researches, develops, implements all HACCP, GMP, SSOP and prerequisite programs required for the plant Develops and implements procedures and checks to ensure quality and wholesomeness to all customers while following all local, state, and federal requirements as well as BRC requirements Readies the plant for all quality and food safety audits USDA liaison Help to support the enforcement of company policies and customer requirements Help to facilitate and develop programs to enhance food safety and security Computer skills required Performs many monthly audits Train and develop QA team Strive to accomplish established goals and set priorities for Quality Assurance and Janitorial departments Enforce local, state, and federal regulatory requirements Understand and support all HACCP, GMP, SSOP, and prerequisite programs required for plant operations Support all certification programs Assist in preparing facility and personnel for all quality and food safety audits Provide training to janitors, QA staff, production employees and management as needed Conduct monthly food safety and quality assurance checks and audits Maintain accurate digital records
