Job Description
The Quality Control Manager at our manufacturing company s is responsible for overseeing the company's
ISO 9001
2015 certification, upholding the ISO standards and Quality Management System (QMS). The Quality Control Manager will work cross functionally throughout the organization to develop SOP's and will manage relationships consultants related to the QMS. This role is integral to our business team, and the role will report to the Business Operations Manager.Quality Control Manager Responsibilities:
MaintainISO 9001
2015Certification:
- Develop and/or maintain SOPs with department leads
- Document and retain required information for ISO standards and requirements inclusive of document control and revisions
- Retain training records as it relates to quality
- Prepare required documents, information and meeting notes for the annual management review
- Maintain quality meeting minutes
- Schedule, prepare for, and manage internal and external audits
- Uphold calibration schedule for all tools within Konrady Plastics
- Complete customer questionnaires related to quality, regulatory and internal company policies
- Lead customer quality audits
- Assist the Sales & Customer Service teams with deviation requests and communicate with customers technical information related to the job or product
- Work directly with customers' quality departments when quality issues arrive
- Facilitate applicable onboarding training for new colleagues
Inspection & Nonconformances:
- Manage the final output of products to determine if the final product meets the specifications of the customer's print
- Investigate, perform root cause analysis, and/or report questionable test results and develop corresponding NC's and CAPAs
- Lead and perform the CAPA process by convening appropriate parties and document the root causes, findings and outcomes
- Manage a weekly RGA RMA (returns) meeting
- Oversee or conduct first article inspection or PPAPs when necessary
- Continue to work with the team to determine areas of continuous improvement
- Lead and manage projects related to continuous improvement
- Maintain lab cleanliness and safety standards
Quality Control Manager Expectations:
- Must have ISO related experience and an in depth understanding of quality control procedures
- Experience in quality control inspection in manufacturing
- Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience in Engineering or a technical field and/or Quality Certification
- Ability to read prints
- Excellent attention to detail
- Must be able to lift and carry at least 40 lbs
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent project management skills and ability to operate under deadlines
- Proficient in MS Office, Excel, and ability to learn an ERP system
Pay:
$75,000.00- $95,000.
