Contract to Hire. Job Summary MS Companies is seeking a highly driven Problem Solving & Quality Training Expert to support a leading automotive manufacturing operation in Warsaw, IN. This contract opportunity is ideal for an experienced quality and continuous improvement professional with a strong background in structured problem solving, manufacturing quality systems, and Lean Six Sigma deployment. The ideal candidate will serve as the site lead for problem-solving governance, quality training, and continuous improvement initiatives while helping strengthen a plant-wide culture of accountability, built-in quality, and data-driven decision making. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact within a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment focused on operational excellence and long-term growth. No relocation assistance is available for this position. Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Master Black Belt certification required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing quality, operational excellence, or continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong expertise in structured problem-solving methodologies including
PDCA, A3, 8D, DMAIC, 5
Why, and Fishbone analysis
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving corrective actions without direct authority
  • Working knowledge of automotive quality systems and standards including IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, SPC, and MSA
  • Strong training, facilitation, coaching, and adult-learning presentation skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related technical discipline; equivalent experience may be considered
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience mentoring and supporting Green Belt and Black Belt projects
  • Background supporting new product launches and launch quality initiatives
  • Strong statistical analysis and data-driven decision-making capabilities
  • Experience developing and standardizing quality training curriculum and governance systems
  • Previous automotive OEM or Tier 1 manufacturing experience preferred
  • Strong change management and continuous improvement leadership skills
  • Experience interfacing with Supplier Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams
  • Advanced proficiency with quality metrics, reporting tools, and root cause verification processes Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Serve as the site lead for structured problem solving and quality continuous improvement initiatives
  • Lead and facilitate cross-functional investigations for manufacturing, supplier, customer, and launch-related quality issues
  • Coach and train teams on problem-solving methodologies, root cause analysis, and corrective action effectiveness
  • Develop, deploy, and continuously improve plant-wide quality training curriculum and materials
  • Drive containment activities, corrective actions, and verification of effectiveness for major quality concerns
  • Establish and standardize problem-solving templates, governance processes, and accountability expectations across the facility
  • Track and report metrics related to training effectiveness, quality improvements, and problem-solving performance
  • Support operational excellence initiatives by promoting a culture of built-in quality, defect prevention, and continuous improvement Physical and Environment Requirements Physical expectations and working conditions associated with the job may include standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods within a manufacturing and office environment.
The role may require occasional lifting up to 25 pounds, frequent interaction with production operations, and the ability to work in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing facility.
