Job Description:

As a leader in the cold finished steel bar and wire industry, our growing Henderson, KY facility is looking for a Quality Manager. This role will be responsible for maintaining our Quality Program, compliance to our ISO quality management standard and creating process improvements throughout the mill. While reporting to the General Manager, this team member will oversee: Implementation and maintenance the Cost of Quality data Internal and External strategic goal achievement Initiation, tracking, reporting and resolution of Mill Claims Tracking, reporting and resolution of customer concerns Inspection and testing procedures for incoming materials and finished products, corrective action follow up Inspection and sampling techniques and process control procedures to insure quality production of finished products. Conducting research on product defects and recommends modifications in products, process, vendor specifications or quality standards where warranted. Prepares necessary reports on defects, rejects and salvage. Confers with customers and suppliers as directed concerning quality issues from customers through coordination with the General Manager. Implements training on quality program, ISO software and document and data control.

ISO program administration Requirements include:

Bachelor's degree in related field preferred Experience in metals, preferably steel Accreditation as a qualified quality control auditor preferred Excellent computer literacy in Microsoft office. Ability to procure, set-up and maintain ISO software. 3-5 years related quality experience in a manufacturing environment Ability to converse, present and educate all levels of an organization, both internal and external Excellent organizational, communication and analytical skills
