Where do you see yourself at Dupuy? The Quality Assurance Manager oversees the development, implementation, review, and maintenance of the Quality System at their Dupuy Group facility. This includes oversight of the quality system, HACCP-based food safety plans, and Good Manufacturing Practices. The Quality Manager must be knowledgeable and trained in HACCP, risk-based preventive controls, and familiar with the Silliker Food Safety Code. They must be able to communicate with relevant personnel to ensure the implementation and maintenance of the Quality System. Essential Functions Food Safety Leader and certified SQF Practitioner skilled in executing GMP, HACCP, and GFSI systems to protect brand equity, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive operational efficiency. Implements continuous improvement strategies across food manufacturing environments. Must verify that Dupuy employees follow procedures to assure certification requirements are met; certifications include, but are not limited to, Silliker, SQF, USFDA, FDA, FSMA, EU Supplier, ICC, ICE, LME, Canada Export, Customs Bonded Warehouse, Kosher, Organic, Fair Trade, Rainforest Alliance, UTZ, ISO, etc. Responsible for ensuring adherence to all food safety regulations and quality standards on the plant floor(s), including contractor and construction projects. Provides coaching and follows up with technicians and operations to ensure compliance. Staying current with shifting FDA and USDA regulations requires structured professional development. Key areas of regulatory shift focus on traceability. Assists with the development and implementation of policies, process control procedures, training and monitoring, and standard practices. Must have knowledge of the requirements for obtaining and maintaining required and customer-requested certifications for every Dupuy facility. Troubleshoots plant quality, safety, and sanitation problems. Implements corrective actions to address and mitigate identified issues. Promotes GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and food safety across the organization. Provides coaching and training across operations teams as needed. Reviews all paperwork to ensure proper procedures are followed. Investigates and escalates issues as appropriate. Assists with facility, customer, and third-party audits and audit preparation. Responsible for daily SOP audits. Participates in investigations of product failures and customer complaints. May provide recommended solutions to the management team. Communicates with all levels of management to ensure control of processes is maintained. Creates, implements, and maintains pest control procedures and policies; plans, implements, and maintains insect pest tracking and trend analysis and reviews such reports. Recommends appropriate additional pest control actions when deemed necessary; communicates regularly with contracted, licensed pest control companies. Identifies opportunities and supports the creation and implementation of plant processes and/or product improvement projects. Maintains the technical expertise of the team with recurring training in all areas within their functional area. Ensures that FDA and Organic requirements are documented and maintained to ensure compliance. Hires, trains, and manages a team of Quality Assurance personnel and employees who understand the nature of controls to ensure product quality and food safety guidelines are followed. Proactively drives quality and compliance initiatives based on defined performance metrics, operations, and leadership feedback. Ensures that reports required by warehousers are internally produced, accurate, and delivered on time. Audits "Facility Good Manufacturing Practices" compliance (team members). Regularly meets and communicates with all functional groups within Manufacturing Operations to analyze data from various reports, determine trends, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions for process improvement. Meets monthly to discuss compliance issues, regulations, and customer requirements. Responsible for the annual review of documents in the management system. Monitors to ensure that guidelines and policies are being carried out within the facility. Other duties may be assigned by the Director of Operations. The Quality Assurance Lead or designee is responsible for covering the responsibilities of this position in the absence of the primary person. Performs other assigned duties. Follows all safety and sanitary guidelines; enforces all safety and PPE standards; maintains a safe environment; participates in and completes all required safety and quality training; and creates new procedures as needed.
Qualifications include:
Minimum Education required: Bachelor's Degree (4 YR) or equivalency. Minimum of 30 semester hours of science-based courses: chemistry, biology, physics, etc. Basic math skills, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and simple fractions. Strong communication skills in both written and verbal. Logical, methodological and analytical approach to problem solving. Experience in the practice application of scientific method. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software; experience with Inventory Management software (Royal 4). Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality in all matter. Leadership skills to ensure prompt and correct compliance amongst all departments on site. Flexible, self-motivating, detail-oriented with the ability to work independently with minimal guidance. Knowledge in Safety Absolutes, GMP and PPE standards Continuing education/training in quality assurance and safety is

o Completion of Certified Quality Training o Certification PCQI training course o Certified HACCP training course o Certified Food Defense training course Training certificates shall be maintained to demonstrate successful completion Ability to gain and maintain and Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) Physical requirements Prolonged periods of standing and walking in a warehouse environment Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds Some periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. The QA team will provide support in a warehouse with moderate to loud noise level and requiring various PPE for safety; will have exposure to confined work spaces, dirt, temperature extremes, high work places, improper illumination, strobe lighting, strong odors, noise, vibration routinely encountered in warehousing.
