In compliance with the company policies, make recommendations regarding the hiring and dismissal of personnel in the department. Ensure necessary follow-up on/with employees based on their attendance or other HR/work related issues. Ensure ongoing training of all department employees, i.e. related to specific job, Safety and Environment, ISO and SQF Quality and ongoing personnel development. Update personnel files for attendance and training according to procedures. Uphold and enforce all the policies in our Personnel Policy Manual. Ensure any communication methods needed in addition to methods included in the ISO and SQF Quality System are implemented and used to ensure proper communication between the shifts. Establish a work environment of empowerment, commitment and teamwork in the department. Hold department meetings on a regular basis to ensure a high general information level, go through quality issues, etc. Ensure each shift is staffed with the appropriate number of employees within the limit of the approved budget. Assist in internal training when requested. Update and maintain personal knowledge.Qualifications:
Previous Quality experience is required Previous supervisory experience is required Knowledge of SQF and ISO procedures Injection Molding experience preferred The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes. The starting salary for this position is expected to be between $70,000to $85,000. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Position may also be eligible for Amcor's Management Incentive Plan/Sales Incentive Plan, which is an annual bonus program based on business and individual performance, as well as medical coverage and other health and welfare benefits.
