Job Description

Job Summary The Quality Manager is responsible for leading and managing the organization's quality assurance systems to ensure that all products meet internal standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements within the automotive manufacturing environment. This role oversees quality control processes, continuous improvement initiatives, and compliance with industry standard
IATF 16949.
The Quality Manager works closely with engineering, production, supply-chain, and customer teams to maintain high levels of product quality and operational excellence. Duties Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with IATF 16949 and applicable customer requirements. Lead internal and external quality audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented and sustained. Oversee root cause analysis and corrective/preventative actions using tools such as 8D Problem Solving and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis. Manage customer quality concerns, including investigation, containment, and resolution of nonconforming products. Manage customer information portals. Perform read-across and lessons learned activities to prevent internal and external issues on other programs. Manage quality assurance and quality control activities across manufacturing operations. Develop and track key quality KPIs. Analyze quality performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, APQP, and PPAP. Maintain electronic records of Company KPI's and be able to speak to KPI's when audited. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure quality requirements are integrated into manufacturing processes. Lead and/or participate in Customer or 3rd party audits, i.e.
IATF:
16949, VDA, etc. Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and to establish quality and reliability expectancy of finished products. Maintain electronic records for all Work Instructions, Procedures, and Forms. Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental standards. Lead, coach, and develop the quality team, including quality engineers, technicians, and inspectors. Manage all product dock audits and layered process audits. Create, document, and implement inspection criteria, procedures, and measuring equipment or oversee the work of direct reports. Issue technical reports and make presentations to management, customers, and suppliers. Experience Minimum 5 years' related experience, preferably in the automotive industry. Experience managing quality systems compliant with
IATF:
16949.
ISO 14001
preferred. Experience working with major automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier requirements. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Strong knowledge of automotive quality tools and methodologies. Strong analytical and decision-making abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Proficiency in quality management software and data analysis tools. Proficient with MS Office and Minitab. Ability to manage people. Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, quality management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Pay:
$75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
