Job Description

Join the Duro-Last team, a brand of Amrize Building Envelope and the world's largest manufacturer of custom-fabricated commercial roofing solutions. Were seeking a Quality Manager who's ready to be part of an innovative, people-first brand shaping the future of the roofing industry.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Quality Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving the Quality Management System (QMS) for Duro-Last operations. This role ensures that products meet customer requirements, regulatory standards, and internal specifications while supporting operational excellence, waste reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Quality Manager leads quality control activities across raw materials, manufacturing processes, laboratory testing, finished goods inspection, customer complaint resolution, supplier quality, and compliance with applicable standards.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
Quality Management System (QMS) Develop, maintain, and improve the company Quality Management System in accordance with
ISO 9001
requirements. Maintain documented procedures, work instructions, quality records, and process controls. Lead internal audits, management reviews, and external certification audits. Ensure compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Manage corrective and preventive action (CAPA) systems and ensure timely closure of quality issues. Manufacturing Quality Oversight Establish and monitor quality standards for Duro-Last production processes. Monitor process capability, SPC data, and production trends to reduce variation and improve consistency. Implement layered process audits and process verification activities. Support containment and disposition of nonconforming material. Customer & Supplier Quality Lead customer complaint investigations and root cause analysis activities. Coordinate corrective actions with production, engineering, maintenance, and suppliers. Develop supplier quality expectations and evaluate supplier performance. Conduct supplier audits and support incoming material qualification activities. Continuous Improvement Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and risk- based thinking methodologies. Utilize data analysis and KPI tracking to improve performance metrics. Facilitate root cause analysis using advanced problem solving tools. Leadership & Training Establish training requirements and competency evaluations for quality-related functions. Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the organization. Participate in cross-functional operational and new product development meetings.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Chemistry, Manufacturing, or related field preferred. Equivalent manufacturing quality experience may be considered. 5+ years of quality management experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in plastics, PVC film, roofing membranes, flexible materials, extrusion, calendaring, or related industries preferred. Experience with
ISO 9001
implementation and maintenance required. Experience leading audits and customer quality initiatives preferred. Familiarity with laboratory testing equipment and calibration systems. Experience using ERP/MRP and quality management software systems. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel. Strong knowledge of:
ISO 9001
SPC Root cause analysis CAPA systems Quality auditing Manufacturing process controls
Additional Requirements:
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to lead cross-functional teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Detail-oriented with a strong sense of accountability. Manufacturing and laboratory environment with routine exposure to industrial equipment, moving machinery, heat, and raw materials. Combination of office, laboratory, and production floor responsibilities. Occasional travel may be required for supplier visits, customer meetings, or audits.
