Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Quality Supervisor to lead our Quality Department in a fast-paced automotive finishing environment. This position is available due to the upcoming retirement of our current Quality Manager, allowing for a smooth transition and knowledge transfer. This role is responsible for supervising quality personnel, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, and supporting continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in
IATF 16949
quality systems and automotive manufacturing, with a focus on finishing processes. Responsibilities Supervise daily activities of the Quality Department, including assigning work and developing team members Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, CQI-12, customer requirements, and internal quality standards Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspections, including shipment approval Lead investigations of quality issues, customer complaints, and internal nonconformances Drive corrective actions, root cause analysis, quality alerts, and Layered Process Audits (LPAs) Support customer audits, registrar audits, supplier audits, customer visits, and new product launches Partner with Engineering, Production, Laboratory, and Scheduling to ensure product and process requirements are met Coordinate PPAPs, capability studies, first-piece approvals, and launch activities Analyze quality data to identify trends and reduce scrap, rework, and customer issues Prepare and present quality reports, audit results, and customer metrics Promote a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement Qualifications 5+ years of experience in quality assurance, quality supervision, or manufacturing quality (automotive finishing preferred) Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, CQI-12, SPC, metrology, and quality tools Experience with corrective actions, PPAPs, audits, and customer interaction Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Proficient with computers and quality systems
