This role is essential in ensuring that products meet rigorous quality standards and comply with industry regulations. The ideal candidate will oversee daily quality control operations, coordinate inspections, and foster continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate quality control activities during the afternoon shift, ensuring adherence to established standards and procedures. Conduct comprehensive quality inspections utilizing precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, vision inspection systems, and coordinate measuring machines. Lead quality audits in accordance with
ISO 13485, ISO 9001, FDA
regulations, and HACCP protocols to verify compliance and identify areas for improvement. Analyze inspection data and compile reports to support quality assurance initiatives and facilitate data-driven decision-making. Oversee calibration and maintenance of measurement tools, ensuring accuracy of all inspection equipment. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to resolve quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions aligned with CGMP practices. Support the development and maintenance of quality systems, including documentation for ISO standards and FDA compliance. Conduct training sessions for staff on quality procedures, inspection techniques, and safety protocols. Participate in internal and external audits, preparing necessary documentation and addressing findings effectively. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying process enhancements that increase efficiency and product quality. Qualifications Proven experience in manufacturing quality control or quality assurance roles within regulated industries such as medical devices or pharmaceuticals. Strong knowledge of Calypso software, ISO 13485, ISO 9001, FDA regulations, HACCP, CGMP, and related standards. Proficiency with precision measurement instruments including calipers, micrometers, vision inspection systems, and coordinate measuring machines. Demonstrated ability to perform detailed analysis using data collection tools and generate comprehensive reports. Excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English to facilitate clear instruction and cross-functional collaboration. Familiarity with conducting quality audits and maintaining compliance documentation. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
