Position Summary:
The Project Assessor supports the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of a nuclear generating facility by evaluating project execution, performance, and adherence to regulatory and organizational standards. This role ensures projects meet quality, safety, and operational excellence expectations within a highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess plant projects for compliance with NRC regulations, company policies, and industry standards. Perform independent evaluations of project plans, execution, and outcomes to identify risks, gaps, and areas for improvement. Collaborate with engineering, operations, maintenance, and project management teams to ensure alignment with safety and performance goals. Review documentation, schedules, and performance metrics to verify project effectiveness and adherence to scope. Provide clear, actionable feedback and recommendations to leadership and project teams. Support corrective action programs and continuous improvement initiatives. Participate in audits, self-assessments, and benchmarking activities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience in nuclear, energy, or other highly regulated industries preferred. Strong knowledge of quality assurance, compliance, and safety standards. Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment.
