Hub Lead
  • As a Hub Lead for GxP compliance auditor capabilities, you ensure a highly performant, fit-for-future regulatory capability for Global GLP Compliance covering all internal and external experimental processes in your region.
In this role, you act as a key people leader within Crop Science R D Regulatory Science, enabling robust, inspection-ready GLP operations across the Lab Center in North America and LATAM. You collaborate closely with other Regulatory Science hubs and work teams, as well as broader BCS R D and Bayer divisions, to align on global quality standards and drive continuous improvement. You also serve as a strategic interface with external GxP authorities and associations, helping to shape and maintain a strong external GLP landscape that supports Bayer's innovation and license-to-operate.
  • YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The primary responsibilities of this role, Hub Lead GxP Compliance Auditors - Global GLP, are to: + Enable license-to-operate for all experimental units in the Lab Center in NA and LATAM by maintaining GLP certification and preparing for Health Authority inspections; + Drive continuous improvement through audit insights and alignment with global QA to strengthen GLP compliance and operational excellence; + Develop and manage an external landscape of GLP test facilities with a focus on LATAM, establishing a network of preferred partners and leveraging approaches and insights across BCS divisions and, in pre-competitive spaces, across the industry; + Coach and guide team members to develop and deepen auditing skills for internal and external GLP facilities globally; + Drive transformation of internal and external GLP data flows towards electronic raw data and electronic archiving, and support the redesign of the end-to-end GLP IT systems landscape; + Coach and guide team members to enhance digital fluency and the ability to leverage new digital approaches in a GLP context in a way that drives efficiency and ensures data integrity; + Build hub capabilities for short- and long-term needs, ensuring workforce planning and upskilling to meet R D strategic initiatives and business needs; + Support assessing, ideating and implementing new and improved operational workflows that can improve operational excellence, compliance, and time to market; + Identify resource bottlenecks and interface with the team and key stakeholders to find optimal solutions that remove roadblocks, create agile and productive solutions, and maximize value creation, including enabling dynamic resource sharing across quality hubs so that talent is deployed to the highest business priorities; + Champion a workplace where ethics, human rights, diversity and inclusion, safety and security are first and foremost, building a high-performing and inclusive team and talent pipeline, creating a culture of trust, empowerment, ownership and accountability, and fostering effective peer feedback and coaching across teams and individuals.
  • WHO YOU ARE
  • Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following: + Significant leadership experience in GxP or GLP environments, ideally within R D, regulatory science, or quality assurance, including responsibility for leading larger teams and complex stakeholder networks; + Deep understanding of GLP regulations, Health Authority expectations, and license-to-operate requirements for internal and external experimental units, including experience with inspections and audits; + Proven experience in developing and managing external GLP test facility networks, preferably across multiple regions (e.
g., NA and LATAM), and in building preferred partner ecosystems; + Strong background in quality systems, audit methodologies, and continuous improvement, with the ability to translate audit insights into practical, scalable process and compliance enhancements; + Demonstrated experience in driving digital transformation in a regulated environment, including electronic data flows, electronic archiving, and GLP-related IT systems; + Strong people leadership skills, including workforce planning, capability building, coaching, and developing diverse, high-performing teams; + Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across hubs, functions, and divisions, and to interface effectively with external authorities and associations; + High level of integrity and commitment to ethics, human rights, diversity and inclusion, safety and security, with a track record of fostering a culture of trust, empowerment and accountability; + Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal; additional language skills (e.g., Spanish or Portuguese) are an advantage.
