A Quality Assurance Supervisor supervises quality assurance staff and oversees processes involved in the prevention of faults in manufactured products and solutions.
Supervises daily sanitation operations across all shifts, ensuring compliance with GMP, FDA, and HACCP standards. Leads training, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives to maintain high quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily sanitation operations across all shifts, monitoring efficiency and implementing corrective measures. Assist the Quality Manager in training and initiatives to address quality, food safety, and sanitation issues. Build and maintain relationships with chemical vendors, suppliers, and third‑party sanitation and pest‑control contractors. Optimize chemical usage by managing inventory, ordering, and usage. Develop Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) in accordance with GMP and FDA regulations. Maintain and verify records, reports, and paperwork to meet plant objectives. Monitor employee adherence to GMPs, cleanliness, sanitation, and pest control; report noncompliance. Support SQF, customer, and other audits; participate in internal audits and document audit points. Train, develop, discipline, and evaluate employees; resolve day‑to‑day personnel grievances. Fill in for sanitation staffing needs as required. Develop, implement, and oversee the environmental monitoring sampling plan based on risk. Record, trend, and investigate environmental monitoring results; complete deviation reports and corrective actions.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of documentation organization and handling experience in sanitation and environmental control activities in a food manufacturing or similar industry. Experience with GMP, Allergen, and HACCP requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Familiarity with Adobe or similar document applications. Knowledge of internal office systems, documentation storage, retrieval, and archival. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for internal and external stakeholders. Familiarity with PC-based computer systems and Windows environment. Understanding of HACCP and GFSI requirements. Ability to supervise hourly resources.

MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) strongly preferred.
