  • 140K (salary depends on experience) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead and maintain quality assurance and quality control programs for construction projects, with emphasis on water, wastewater, industrial, stormwater, and heavy civil work.
The role will ensure projects are executed to contract, regulatory, and industry standards by developing QA/QC plans, overseeing inspections and testing, managing non-conformance processes, and mentoring the QC team. The ideal candidate has strong construction and quality control experience and familiarity with design-build and ground-up projects. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific QA/QC plans, procedures, and checklists to ensure compliance with contract documents, specifications, and applicable codes and standards. Lead and supervise QC staff and inspectors; assign duties, provide technical guidance, and conduct performance reviews and training to maintain a high level of workmanship and adherence to quality procedures. Perform regular site inspections and surveillance for construction activities, materials, and workmanship; document findings and verify corrective actions for non-conforming work. Coordinate and oversee third-party and in-house testing and inspection programs (materials testing, concrete, coatings, mechanical, electrical, welding, etc.); review and approve test reports and laboratory data. Manage the non-conformance report (NCR) process: identify issues, determine root cause, issue corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs), track resolution, and close out NCRs. Interface with project management, engineering, subcontractors, owners, and regulatory agencies to resolve quality issues, clarify specifications, and support commissioning and turnover activities. Maintain and control quality documentation, including inspection records, test results, certifications, QA/QC logs, and daily reports in an organized document control system. Qualifications Minimum 3+ years of progressive construction quality control/quality assurance experience, with demonstrated leadership in QC management on commercial, industrial, water/wastewater, or heavy civil projects. Hands-on experience with water treatment plants (WTP), wastewater treatment plants (WWTP), stormwater systems, and other water/wastewater infrastructure preferred. Familiarity with ground-up construction, design-build delivery methods, and large-scale industrial or heavy civil projects (nice to have). Experience managing QA/QC documentation, NCRs, CAPAs, testing programs, and material acceptance processes. Candidates who fill out skills and questions move to the front of the application process!
