Job Description

Job Information Role Purpose The Quality Manager is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and continuously improving the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure products and services meet customer, regulatory, and internal requirements. This role provides quality leadership across all manufacturing activities, from incoming materials through final inspection and shipping, while fostering a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
Scope & Responsibilities Key Responsibilities:
Perform assigned duties in accordance with documented procedures, work instructions, and quality system requirements.
Quality Leadership:
Champion quality assurance across all manufacturing and support areas, ensuring compliance with internal standards and applicable external regulations. Identify quality and operational risks and implement mitigation strategies. Lead cross-functional initiatives to reduce defects, improve first-pass yield, and support on-time delivery. Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing Engineering to implement effective process controls and preventive systems.
Production Support:
Partner with Production leadership to ensure timely delivery of compliant products. Work with Manufacturing Engineering to develop, validate, and deploy tools and methods that support consistent product quality. Reinforce company policies, procedures, and quality expectations on the production floor. Promote accurate production and quality reporting to support traceability, costing, and performance analysis.
Document Control:
Review, audit, and update manufacturing and quality-related documentation to ensure alignment with customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and company policies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data collection tools, document control processes, and record retention practices.
Workforce Development & Leadership:
Lead, coach, and develop Quality Assurance team members to build capability, engagement, and accountability. Establish clear performance expectations and support employee development through training, feedback, and formal performance reviews. Promote a safe, inclusive, and collaborative work environment aligned with company values and Lean principles.
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement:
Drive Lean and continuous improvement initiatives, including standard work, visual management, and waste elimination. Lead kaizen events and cross-functional improvement projects to improve quality performance and reduce cost. Define, track, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality and operational effectiveness. Use data-driven analysis to support decision-making and accountability.

Work Experience & Skills Education:
Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience:
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in a manufacturing leadership role
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment Skills /
Knowledge:
  • Quality Management Systems (QMS) development and maintenance
  • Internal and external auditing
  • Regulatory and customer compliance requirements
  • Risk management and root cause analysis
  • Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and production reporting tools
  • Experience supporting ERP/MRP implementations or migrations preferred
  • Experience participating in or supporting Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes preferred
