Quality Assurance Manager Timberlake, NC | Full-Time | Exempt About the Role Voltage is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead quality systems, compliance, and customer quality initiatives within our high-volume wire harness and cable assembly manufacturing facility. This role is both strategic and hands-on, owning site-wide quality performance while building and developing a high-performing quality team. You'll play a critical role in driving operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement as the facility scales to full production. What You'll Do Quality Leadership & Strategy Own and continuously improve the site Quality Management System (QMS) Establish and track quality objectives aligned with business goals Develop and execute quality strategies that support growth and customer requirements Lead management reviews and report on quality performance Quality Systems & Compliance Ensure compliance with:
ISO 9001 & ISO 14001
Customer-specific requirements Internal quality standards Manage documentation, traceability systems, and quality records Own core quality methodologies including:
PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, MSA, CAPA
Production Quality Management Oversee:
Incoming, in-process, and final inspection operations Testing and validation processes Ensure process control across key manufacturing operations: Crimping, ultrasonic welding, molding, and harness assembly Support new product introductions (NPI) and process validation Customer Quality & Audit Management Serve as the primary quality contact for customers Lead customer complaint investigations and corrective actions Manage customer scorecards and performance metrics Lead internal, customer, and third-party audits Drive audit readiness and compliance initiatives Leadership & Talent Development Lead, coach, and develop: Quality Engineers Supervisors Inspectors Hire and build a scalable quality organization Drive performance management, training, and succession planning Promote a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement Continuous Improvement Lead root cause investigations using: 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, CAPA Drive initiatives focused on: Scrap reduction Yield improvement Cost of Quality reduction Customer satisfaction Support Lean Manufacturing and Operational Excellence programs Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Engineering, Production, Maintenance, and Supply Chain Support capacity planning, equipment implementation, and site ramp-up Help build scalable systems to support business growth What You Bring Education Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field preferred Equivalent experience may be considered Experience 5+ years of progressive quality leadership experience in manufacturing Proven experience leading and developing quality teams Strongly preferred experience in: Wire & cable manufacturing Harness assembly Crimping, ultrasonic welding, or molding Experience supporting OEM or automotive customers is a plus Key Skills Expert knowledge of

Strong experience with:
PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, CAPA, 8D
methodologies Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T Strategic thinker with strong execution skills Excellent leadership, coaching, and communication abilities Experience with ERP systems such as SAP preferred Work Environment Regular presence on the manufacturing floor Combination of office and production environments Ability to stand/walk and inspect operations daily Occasional travel to customers or suppliers Ability to lift up to 25 lbs Required use of PPE and adherence to safety standards Work Authorization Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.
