Job Description

QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER
  • CLAREMONT, NC Labor Connections has partnered with an established, global plastics manufacturing facility in Claremont, NC to place a Quality Manager.
Our client is a precision manufacturer operating within highly regulated automotive OEM standards, seeking a senior quality leader ready to make an immediate impact. This is a direct hire opportunity — permanent employment from day one — with a full benefits package and a high-visibility leadership role within a growing facility. This is a senior leadership position responsible for the full scope of plant quality, environmental, safety, and information security systems. The ideal candidate brings deep automotive manufacturing quality experience, particularly Tier 1 supplier exposure and familiarity with BMW-specific supplier standards and expectations. This is a precision search. We are looking for a polished, technically strong leader who can bring immediate credibility to a demanding, highly regulated production environment. What you'll do: Lead and maintain all plant quality, environmental, safety, and information security management systems Support and enforce
IATF 16949, ISO
14001, CCC, TISAX, and Carolina Star standards across the facility Oversee continual quality management processes and quality check planning
  • Ensure raw material and finished goods quality standards are consistently met at all production stages Analyze deviations, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions quickly and effectively Manage customer quality complaints and supplier quality concerns from receipt through resolution Lead customer-facing audits and support third-party certification audits Record, analyze, and present quality data and performance trends to executive leadership Collaborate cross-functionally with production, engineering, and operations teams to maintain documentation and drive operational excellence Build and maintain a strong quality culture across the plant floor What you'll need Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline required 5+ years of Quality Management experience in a manufacturing environment Automotive or automotive supplier manufacturing experience required Tier 1 automotive supplier experience strongly preferred BMW-specific supplier, program, or customer-facing quality experience is the target profile Deep working knowledge of
IATF 16949, OEM
customer-specific requirements, and automotive quality standards VDA 6.3 training or ability to obtain required Strong root cause analysis, corrective action, and data trend capabilities Proven ability to lead quality culture and manage audits, compliance, and large-scale quality initiatives What's nice to have Plastic injection molding manufacturing experience — highly valued Quality certifications (CQM, CQE, Six Sigma, or equivalent) Experience in
