We are looking for a highly skilled, detail-oriented Quality Manager for our location in Concord, NC. Responsibilities Lead and develop the QA team with hiring, coaching, managing performance, and holding staff accountable to safety, conduct, and quality standards on the production floor Inspect and test materials, equipment, processes, and finished product against quality standards and customer specifications Own the site's Quality Management System (QMS) related to quality manual, policies, procedures, and work instructions, in accordance with
ISO 9001
2015 requirements Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) for defects, deviations, and non-conformances through to closure Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) for new and revised jobs to catch quality risks before they reach the production floor Manage the supplier quality program for vendors that provide materials/services Prepare for and lead the facility through internal and external audits (customer and

certification audits), keeping the site audit-ready year-round Own change control activities/documentation within the QMS, including review and approval of manufacturing documents (SOPs, work instructions, forms) and submission documents Maintain a metrics program and generate customer and leadership facing quality scorecards (complaint trends, CAR/SCAR status, SPC data) that drive continuous improvement Manage relationships with third party testing labs, equipment vendors, and calibration suppliers Conduct routine safety audits in partnership with EHS Participate in or lead cross-functional teams on production issues, efficiency, cost savings, and new product support Qualifications/Skills Required Minimum 5 years of hands on quality experience in a printing, packaging, or similar manufacturing environment. Real world production floor experience is required; this is not a laboratory or testing only role Minimum 2 years of direct/indirect supervisory experience leading a team or process Working knowledge of
ISO 9001
2015 standards and how they apply to day to day production processes Demonstrated experience leading root cause analysis (RCA) and CAPA investigations to closure Experience leading and hosting both internal audits and external audits (customer and certification body) Track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives on the production floor Ability to work autonomously on the production floor, applying strong problem solving skills Strong communication skills to manage support personnel and interface with customers Strong technical writing skills with the ability to write and revise clear SOPs, work instructions, CAPA reports, and other quality documentation Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline preferred; equivalent hands on packaging/print manufacturing experience will be considered in place of a degree Six Sigma Green Belt (or equivalent Lean/Six Sigma training) preferred; ASQ certification (CQE, CMQ/OE) a plus Working knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and root-cause tools (Minitab, Pareto analysis, DOE) to support data-based decision making Hands on experience with printing, finishing, and converting operations is an asset.
