What You'll Do:
The Quality Manager is a hands-on technical and systems authority for quality. The role builds capable people, prevents defects, maintains a practical and audit-ready Quality Management System, and solves problems at the source. The manager must be respected on the floor because they listen, teach, measure, and help solve problems—not because they enforce paperwork from an office
Boundary:
The Quality Manager owns quality standards, systems, technical containment, and evidence. The QAPM remains the customer's representative and owns the overall customer outcome and communication from PO acceptance through shipment. Production Management owns people, equipment, process execution, and output. Scheduling owns priority and sequence. Engineering owns design authority and approved technical changes. The Process Audit/Review role verifies that documented processes are being followed and remain effective

Ensure products meet drawings, specifications, tolerances, workmanship standards, material requirements, and customer quality requirements. Apply today and join the team! ️ salary: $90,000 - $130,000 per year shift: First work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM education: High School Responsibilities Establish and maintain the inspection system for receiving, first article, in-process, final, and shipment release. Ensure products meet drawings, specifications, tolerances, workmanship standards, material requirements, and customer quality requirements. Own and continuously improve a lean, ISO 9001-aligned QMS that is practical for a growing privately held manufacturer. Maintain controlled procedures, records, internal audits, management-review inputs, compliance evidence, and external audit readiness. Ensure appropriate gauges, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMM/laser scanning, fixtures, methods, and trained personnel are available and used correctly. Maintain calibration, traceability, MSA where required, and equipment suitability. Own the system for nonconformance, containment, disposition routing, root cause, corrective and preventive action, verification of effectiveness, and recurrence prevention. Use the simplest method capable of solving the problem—5 Whys, fishbone, 8D, or other appropriate tools. Serve as the technical quality lead for customer complaints, CARs, returns, escapes, FAIRs, PPAP, capability studies, dimensional reports, and audit requests. Coordinate all external communication and commitments with the assigned QAPM. Establish supplier qualification, incoming-risk controls, supplier scorecards, nonconformance communication, corrective action, audit, and escalation processes in coordination with Purchasing and the assigned QAPM.
