Operations Educational Requirements :
Minimum Associates Degree in
Engineering, Science, or Quality Assurance Experience Requirements:
Minimum 3-5 years experience in Quality Assurance, Prior experience in personnel management, Familiarity with the
Automotive Industry Description of Duties:
  • Manages the Quality Management Systems, administers & coordinates Corrective/ Preventive actions, administration and coordination of internal auditing process and responsible for all quality documentation
  • Manages the Quality Department, oversees quality hold area and non-conformance administration.
  • Runs supplier quality system, report cards, supplier quality manual.
  • Ensures all appropriate inspections/test are completed.
  • Coordinates and submits PPAP's per customer requirements.
  • Coordinates all calibration/ R&R activities using minitab.
  • Participates in management review and reports on items related to his / her department.
  • Provides on the job training and evaluation of department. Also performs all quality department employee reviews as required.
  • Participates in daily morning meetings with production staff.
  • Reports and updates any customer quality documents / processes including through use of customer based websites. This includes appropriate functions with the website such as Nexteer Intelex, GM SPPS, Supply-ON etc.
  • Provides daily leadership to quality department
  • Collects data from entire plant and report out on company score card.
  • Request quote for gauging and approving of gauge drawings.
  • 5 Why competency or training.
