Quality Assurance Manager

Quality Assurance Manager Strobels Supply Inc. Quality Assurance Manager - North Carolina The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for maintaining, and continuing to develop the existing quality management system for liquid paint and coatings manufacturing operations. This role ensures all products meet internal specifications and customer requirements. The QA Manager drives inspections, testing procedures, documentation, continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures compliance with industry standard operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and develop a quality system modeled around

ISO 9001

principles Perform incoming visual inspection of parts with the Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to verify quantities and identify/document any damage or imperfections. Work closely with the Production Manager and Operations Manager to understand the production schedule, stages of production and flow of work through those stages Develop and enforce standard operating procedures via travelers for each part/project Visually inspect parts and take readings at formal checkpoints in the production process to determine if the parts can progress to the next phase. Take required QA readings instrumentally or otherwise (i.e. MIL thickness, gloss, DeltaE, adhesion, etc.) Complete internal NCR forms, lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for non-conforming parts to help reduce defects, rework, and customer complaints Complete a Certificate of Compliance and all required customer documentation. Maintain a clear and orderly QA work area. Ensure wrapping, packaging and crating of all outgoing parts is suitable for each specific part. Perform Internal Audits of all key processes on an annual basis.

Qualifications:

5-10+ years of experience in coatings, paints preferred 3+ years in a quality leadership role. Strong communication skills with ability to take direction and lead. Strong knowledge of liquid paint formulation and testing standards (ASTM, ISO). Experience with

ISO 9001

quality systems. The Quality Assurance Manager is a key role in Strobels Supply Inc.'s organization. By monitoring and controlling the flow of production work, the entire company can operate more efficiently. Careful attention to detail and organization are required. Collaborative approach and strong communication skills are also crucial. This role is based in Linwood, N.C. with very limited travel (if any) required. This is a full-time role with benefits once eligible.
