Job Description

Quality Control Manager - Federal Construction We are seeking an experienced Quality Control (QC) Manager to oversee quality assurance and control processes on federal construction projects. This role is responsible for ensuring all work complies with contract requirements, federal regulations, and industry standards. The QC Manager will lead quality initiatives, coordinate inspections, and work closely with project teams to maintain the highest level of construction quality and compliance. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and manage the project-specific Quality Control Plan in accordance with federal requirements Serve as the primary point of contact for all quality-related matters with government representatives Conduct and coordinate daily quality control inspections and document results Ensure all construction activities comply with contract specifications, drawings, and applicable codes Manage the Three-Phase Control Process (Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-Up inspections) Review and approve submittals, RFIs, and material compliance documentation Track and resolve deficiencies, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions Maintain accurate and complete QC documentation, including daily reports and test results Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and project staff to ensure quality standards are met Support project closeout activities, including punch lists and final inspections Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) 7+ years of experience in construction quality control, with federal project experience required Current certification in
USACE/NAVFAC
Construction Quality Management (CQM-C) for Contractors Strong knowledge of federal construction standards, EM 385-1-1, and applicable building codes Experience managing QC processes on government projects (e.g., DoD, USACE, VA, GSA) Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills Preferred Skills Experience on large-scale federal or military construction projects Additional certifications (e.g., OSHA 30, LEED, PMP) Familiarity with RMS/QCS systems and federal reporting requirements Proven ability to lead inspections and interface with government QA representatives What We Offer Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package Opportunities to work on high-profile federal construction projects Career growth and professional development support Collaborative and safety-focused work environment Apply online or send your resume to hannah.behrens@gogpac.com OR Call/Text (605)601-5546 for a confidential conversation.
