Quality Leader Hypertherm is seeking a Quality Leader to lead a team of quality technicians, strengthen metrology and measurement capability, and drive operational quality excellence. This role supports sustainable performance improvement, effective governance, and confidence in product and process quality. As a Quality Leader, you will:
    Lead Quality Technicians & Metrology Operations:
    Guide, coach, and develop quality technicians; oversee metrology lab workflows, calibration practices, inspection setup, and adherence to measurement standards.
      Strengthen Measurement Capability:
      Apply basic GD&T knowledge, measurement methods, and CMM fundamentals to support evaluation of product and process performance; ensure accurate and consistent measurement practices.
        Drive Quality Governance & Assurance:
        Ensure effective implementation of work-unit processes, standards, and internal controls; contribute to documentation and continuous improvement of quality procedures.
          Lead Problem Solving & Improvement:
          Apply Green Belt-level tools to resolve operational issues; document processes, inspection methods, and procedures with clarity and rigor; support quality improvements and risk mitigation.
            Guide Associates & Build Capability:
            Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and development of associates; promote evidence-based decision-making and rapid response to issues; support capability building in measurement, documentation, and quality tools.
              Lead Leadership Development:
              Model leadership behaviors that promote empowerment, accountability, and continuous improvement; support associate development through coaching, feedback, and identification of growth opportunities.               • Bachelor's degree in STEM with 5-10 years of experience, or Master's degree in
              STEM/MBA
              with 3-8 years of experience
              • Experience leading or coordinating quality technicians
              • Foundational understanding of GD&T, measurement techniques, and CMM operation
              • Strong documentation skills and process improvement mindset
              • Knowledge of ISO9001, basic project management, and customer-focused quality practices
              • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (required or in progress) What makes you successful:
