STS Aerospace in Laconia, NH is searching for a Quality Supervisor to join the team. This position directs and coordinates quality designated personnel including, but not limited to Rigid, Metal Hose, Flexible Hose Value Stream Final Inspectors, and Receiving Inspection Inspectors. As well as Supporting Operations, Quality Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering by identifying process improvement opportunities and continuous Improvement activities to meet customer demand. If you have strong leadership skills, have creativity and like to teach, this may be the right job for you! Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Directs Final Inspector priorities, and testing of finished assemblies, components, and materials to determine conformance to customer requirements.
  • Reviews quality problems with quality and manufacturing engineering personnel and directs action required to correct defects.
  • Prepares periodic and special reports concerning inspection activities and problems.
  • Aids in organizational planning by participating in departmental conferences.
  • Reviews data obtained during all quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure consistency with company policies and procedures.
  • Helps investigate and adjusts customer complaints regarding quality issues and requirements.
  • Facilitates QMS maintenance, updates and implementation of changes and improvements, based on Final and Receiving Inspection activities and responsibilities.

  • Trains team members on safety rules and enforce safe behaviors. Conducts safety meetings, safety observations, safety leadership tours, and incident investigations to ensure a culture of zero harm.
  • Quality of work: Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, bias for action, and makes and keeps commitments
  • Analyses processes, looks for ways to improve, and makes suggestions on how to improve them. Working collaboratively to recognize opportunities, make and implement changes, and sustain improvements
  • Supervise, manage, and motivates team members daily.
  • Identify training needs for team members and create, coordinate, and/or deliver training accordingly.
  • Ensure quality communication and dialogue between team members, cross function teams, and leadership.
  • Utilize effective interpersonal skills, empathy, feedback, and one-on-ones to build strong work relationships and rapport.
  • Consistently, regularly, and dependably at work and on time.
Supervisory Responsibilities Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Education and/or Experience College or University program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
