Quality Manager
Job Description
Quality Manager Our client needs a strategic, customer-oriented Quality Manager for their team. This direct-hire role will develop and maintain the company's Quality Management System and Environmental Management System, support compliance with the Health and Safety regulations, and drive quality improvement initiatives across multiple sites. Responsibilities of the Quality Manager Ensure the Quality Management System and the Environmental Management Systems are consistent and well developed across the region; work with certification inspectors, enforce ISO Programs, track non-conformities, and maintain quality control standards Investigate and correct customer non-conforming issues and complaints relating to quality, providing a high level of internal and external customer service Report non-conformities to the General Manager, and communicate these items to the site managers, plant supervisors, and employees Plan, conduct, and monitor testing and inspection of materials and products to ensure finished product quality Apply total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes Support Sourcing and work with vendors to ensure quality of all purchased parts Conduct and support on-site audits at external suppliers Promote a culture of operational excellence focused on safety and quality through training, coaching, and internal audits Evaluate audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions Conduct customer and vendor visits/communication as appropriate Monitor risk management activities Identify unsafe work habits, report, and work with General Manager to implement any changes accordingly Compile/analyze data and prepare reports Qualifications of the Quality Manager BS Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Quality Engineering or related field 7+ years of Quality Control and Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment Willingness to travel 25-40% This Quality Manager opportunity offers $80K-$85K/year, DOE.
