Quality Control Manager / SSHO

This position will report to our office location in Las Vegas, Nellis AFB. Essential Duties & Responsibilities The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties, but not all duties performed for this position. Other duties may be assigned. Develop, administer, and ensure compliance with the Quality Control Plan for projects, following the Army Corps Three Phases of Control. Certify that all submittals, plans, and specifications meet contract requirements, and oversee evaluations and testing by approved personnel or facilities. Provide documented evaluations and corrective actions to maintain high-quality standards and minimize recurring issues. Maintain hazardous material reports and coordinate pre-final and final inspections, ensuring all deficiencies are corrected and as-built documents are submitted. Oversee safety management, including developing and implementing standardized Safety Programs, conducting site-specific orientations, and leading weekly safety meetings. Survey project sites for compliance with safety standards, conduct accident investigations, and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with company safety professionals and subcontractors to improve safety practices and ensure proper training and equipment use.

Minimum Qualifications:

To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualifications listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. The QC Manager must be an individual with a minimum of 5 years combined experience in the following positions: Project Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer, or Construction Manager on similar size (approx. $5M+) and type (general/renovation/electrical) construction Contracts which include the major construction trades. The individual must have at least 2 years experience as a QC Manager. The individual must be familiar with the requirements of EM 385-1-1 and have experience in the areas of hazard identification, safety compliance, and sustainability. The QC Manager and all members of the QC organization must be capable of reading, writing, and conversing fluently in the English language. OSHA 30 hour

USACE CQM

Certification Experience with Procore and RMS Proficient with Word, Excel, and PDF Proven experience as a QC/SSHO on similar federal projects In-depth knowledge of quality control procedures and legal standards Expertise with safety regulations and procedures Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Excellent organizational and leadership abilities Effective communication and training skills As a condition of employment, you may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable references and background check results

Additional Qualifying Factors:

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening (post accepted offer) and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.

Working Conditions:

Job is performed in a combination of office and outdoor site locations. The office setting includes exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Outdoor settings include walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife.
