Hourly / Full-Time About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QC Lead to oversee daily quality control operations in a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for ensuring all quality processes, testing, and compliance activities are executed accurately and efficiently while promoting a culture of food safety and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Oversee and coordinate daily quality control activities across all active production lines Ensure proper staffing of quality personnel and verify completion of required quality checks at specified intervals Validate product codes, prints, and ensure all documentation and records are accurate and complete Ensure proper handling of microbiological samples, paperwork, and timely laboratory testing Enforce GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and food safety standards across operations Support calibration programs and perform in-house equipment calibration as needed Train, coach, and support team members while maintaining accountability for performance Assist with special projects, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives Maintain compliance with all safety, regulatory, and company standards Leadership & Collaboration Lead by example to foster teamwork, accountability, and strong communication Coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet production, quality, and safety goals Escalate quality issues appropriately and support corrective actions Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required 2+ years of quality experience or prior leadership experience in a manufacturing or lab environment Laboratory experience required; internal candidates must hold current certification Strong understanding of microbiology practices, laboratory testing, and GMPs Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities Skills & Competencies Strong organizational and documentation skills Effective communication and problem-solving abilities Proficiency with computer systems and data entry programs Ability to delegate tasks, manage time, and lead a team effectively Knowledge of microbiological and analytical lab processes
