This position is ideal for quality professionals with experience in cast-in-place concrete construction, inspection, testing, quality management, special inspections, or construction quality control. Depending on experience, certifications, and project needs, individuals may serve as a Quality Control Manager, Lead Inspector, Senior Quality Inspector, or Technical Quality Specialist. The successful candidate will help ensure work is executed safely, accurately, and in compliance with contract documents, approved drawings, specifications, industry standards, and Colasanti quality expectations.Key Responsibilities:
Quality Leadership & Inspection Perform and lead inspections of formwork, reinforcing steel, embeds, anchor bolts, post-installed anchors, concrete placement activities, finishing operations, curing, repairs, and closeout work. Develop and implement inspection strategies, checklists, hold points, witness points, and quality verification processes. Verify compliance with project specifications, approved submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and industry standards. Coordinate and oversee third-party testing and special inspection activities. Documentation & Compliance Maintain inspection records, quality reports, test results, material certifications, punch lists, turnover documentation, and quality metrics. Identify deficiencies, nonconformances, and quality risks and help facilitate timely corrective actions. Support audits, quality reviews, readiness assessments, and project turnover requirements. Assist with material traceability and documentation control processes. Technical Support & Problem Solving Review plans, specifications, submittals, testing reports, and technical requirements. Participate in root cause investigations and development of corrective and preventive actions. Provide practical recommendations to improve quality performance and reduce rework. Support implementation of company SOPs, best practices, and Zero Punchlist initiatives. Leadership & Mentoring Serve as a quality resource for project teams, field supervision, subcontractors, suppliers, and testing agencies. Mentor and support junior inspectors and project personnel. Participate in preparatory meetings, pre-pour meetings, first-work inspections, mockups, and planning sessions. Represent Colasanti professionally with clients, design professionals, and project stakeholders.Desired Qualifications:
Education & Experience Candidates should possess one or more of the following: Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Concrete Technology, or related field. Significant experience in cast-in-place concrete construction, quality control, inspection, testing, engineering, or field supervision.Working knowledge of:
Reinforcing steel Embed placement Anchor bolts Concrete materials and testing Concrete placement operations Finishing and curing Structural repairs Special inspections Nonconformance management Project closeout and turnover Technical Skills Ability to read drawings, specifications, submittals, and contract requirements. Strong documentation and report-writing skills. Experience with Microsoft 365, Bluebeam, Procore, SharePoint, or similar construction management tools. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Preferred Certifications Candidates possessing any combination of the following certifications are encouraged to apply:OSHA 30 ACI
