Job Description

The primary function of the Quality Manager is to implement and maintain
ISO 17025
Quality Assurance program. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: 1. Develops and maintains the Quality System to meet
ISO 17025.
Ensures system requirements, activities, and documentation are accomplished as detailed in the quality policy and are adequate to pass internal and external quality audits. 2. Maintains the Proficiency Testing Program at the company. 3. Manages Communication with Accreditation body ANAB. Responsible for updating all annually required responsibilities including traceability documentation, method validations, quality assurance manual, management review, internal audit reports, customer satisfaction/complaints, nonconformances, test uncertainty data, and corrective actions. 4. Responsible for investigating and resolving quality control risks, issues, and errors. 5. Manages and Maintains records of Calibration and Statistical Process Control data. 6. Manages and maintains certified reference materials and certificates of accreditation for applicable tests. 7. Lead auditor in internal audits and management of internal audit schedule 8. Annual Quality Management System Review with formal report and presentation to management. Responsible for tracking and completion of Quality Actions. 9. Weekly Friday 515 reports to Eurofins Quality Assurance Director. 10. Monthly Quality Assurance Metric data gathering and reporting to Eurofins QA Global and Local. 11. Provides quality support and final sign off on all new testing and test equipment added to Insight's offerings. 12. Ensures internal company processes satisfy customer's demands with regard to technical requirements, testing, turnaround, quality, and data. 13.Provides recommendations to eliminate waste and improve efficiencies in all areas within the company and implement where appropriate. 14.Manager of Quality Assistant and associated responsibilities. Required knowledge, skills & abilities: 1. Strong organizational skills with attention to details, and quality. Able to manage, plan and prioritize multiple tasks in a flexible and responsive manner. 2. In-depth knowledge of ASTM methods. 3. Strong skills and ability to identify, evaluate and effectively problem solve. 4. Ability to be a team player and work with a variety of people, customers, contracts, subcontractors, vendors, etc. 5. Strong computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office Suite. 6. Strong verbal & written communication skills, including technical writing. 7. Knowledge of computer hardware.
Education & Experience:
Experience with
ISO 17025
quality programs and a minimum of one (1) year experience in laboratory testing, oil analysis or related field is required. A four-year college degree is preferred. Recommend familiarity with in-house test methods and equipment.
