Quality Assurance Supervisor

POSITION OBJECTIVE

QA Supervisors are responsible for accurate decisions involving product grades and buyer specifications through effective use of Quality Assurance procedures. Individual provides supervision and training of lab technicians and works cooperatively with other departments to ensure quality of product. Consistency and attention to detail are critical to this position.

JOB DUTIES

1. Supervise, train and monitor QA crew members on procedures, practices and policies. 2. Keep Production Supervisors and Line Operators informed of any changes or issues. 3. Maintain and interpret various quality related logs and records. 4. Maintain accurate written and compute records. 5. Prepare reports for management. 6. Use experience and knowledge to decide which products should be used for individual labels and buyers. 7. Keep up to date on changing buyer specifications. 8. Assist with upkeep of score sheets and grading procedures. 9. Assist in laboratory housekeeping duties. 10. Work cooperatively with shift supervisors and fellow employees. 11. Practice good housekeeping and personal hygiene at all times. 12. Report all safety hazards to supervisor. 13. Obey all safety, health, sanitation, and plant rules and procedures. 14. Follow established Good Laboratory Practices guidelines. 15. Be able to work in close quarters with coworkers. 16. Be able to work any shift. 17. Be capable of performing all duties of QA Crew Members 18. Perform other duties as directed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

1. Strength

• Lift occasional to infrequent 30 lbs Maximum. With frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 lbs. 2. Stand/ Walk / Sit
