This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, quality systems, and with the valued expectations of their customers and partners. Serve as the primary contact for the food safety quality team, overseeing their schedule and training. Oversee a robust Environmental Monitoring Program. Execute internal audits following the scheduled timeline. Aid in the facilitation of external audits as deemed necessary. Manage the stock and procurement of lab equipment essential for quality tasks. Participate in quality meetings at the site as needed, including daily KPI discussions. Act as the site advocate for Food Safety Culture. Examine and update Quality documentation and records. Help in formulating and enforcing quality assurance strategies to align with production goals and customer demands. Oversee product testing procedures for accuracy. Evaluate the skill level of Food Safety Quality Technicians. Ensure compliance with HACCP plans and supporting programs. Lead the hiring, workflow management, training, and growth of staff. Undertake the execution of corrective and preventive measures. Support in probing into non-conformities and client grievances. Perform food safety and security evaluations at the plant, constantly identifying potential hazards. Ensure compliance with plant certification and regulatory standards. Experience Management experience within food production quality assurance. Prior experience in a quality-related role. Proven experience in Continuous Improvement initiatives. Experience with organic, kosher, and halal food production standards. Qualifications Proficient in food safety and QA practices. Availability to work across various shifts in a 24/7 operation. Education A Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Food Science, or a similar field, or equivalent practical experience.
