This role ensures that all modules meet company specifications, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations prior to shipment and installation. The QA Supervisor leads inspection activities, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and partners closely with Production, Engineering, and Safety teams to drive a culture of quality and compliance. Key Responsibilities Quality Oversight & Compliance Supervise daily quality assurance activities across all stages of modular production (framing, MEPrough‑in, finishing, and final inspections). Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building codes, including IBC, IRC, HUD, and applicable state modular codes. Interpret and enforce drawings, specifications, and quality standards for modular construction projects. Conduct and document audits, inspections, and quality checks throughout the manufacturing process. Team Leadership Lead, train, and coach QA Inspectors and Quality Technicians. Assign inspection workloads and manage QA coverage across production lines. Provide real‑time feedback to production teams to correct defects and prevent rework. Support onboarding and ongoing training related to quality standards and inspection techniques. Inspection & Documentation Review and maintain inspection reports, non‑conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action plans. Ensure accurate documentation required for third‑party inspections and Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) approvals. Coordinate with external inspectors, state modular agencies, and customers during audits and inspections. Continuous Improvement Identify trends in defects, rework, and quality escapes; recommend corrective and preventive actions. Partner with Production and Engineering to address root causes and improve build quality. Support Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and waste reduction. Cross‑Functional Collaboration Work closely with Production Supervisors, Project Management, Engineering, and Supply Chain to resolve quality issues. Participate in project kickoffs and production readiness reviews to ensure quality expectations are understood. Escalate critical quality risks or compliance concerns,to leadership. Required Qualifications Associate's orbachelor'sdegree in construction management, Engineering, Quality, or a related field or equivalent experience. 3-5+ years of experience in quality assurance within construction, manufacturing, or modular/off‑site construction. Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred. Strong knowledge of building codes, inspections, and construction documentation. Experience with audits, corrective actions, and quality reporting systems. Preferred Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and communication skills. Detail‑oriented with excellent documentation and organizational abilities. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and engineering drawings. Comfortable working in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality management systems. OSHA 10/30 and quality certifications (CQE, Six Sigma) are a plus.
