Job Description

Join a well-established heavy manufacturing company as an influential leader dedicated to upholding the highest quality standards. Your mission will be to spearhead quality initiatives, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Engineering, and Production, to ensure that customer expectations are not only understood but consistently surpassed. You will report directly to the President, supervising a dedicated team of 2-4 professionals. In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for transforming complex customer specifications into precise, achievable standards that align with our fast-paced manufacturing demands. Your commitment will be instrumental in nurturing customer satisfaction by adeptly aligning quality frameworks to dynamic production environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee comprehensive quality performance, spanning customer relations, internal processes, and supplier engagements. Act as the chief point of contact for quality-related dialogues, customer audits, and issue resolutions. Translate customer expectations into actionable internal protocols. Collaborate with various departments to ensure smooth alignment and consistent processes. Lead investigations and implement corrective actions for any internal or customer-reported quality issues. Foster accountability and high-quality outcomes across all production stages. Manage inspection processes and ensure adherence to materials and customer standards. Support ITAR and EAR compliance, ensuring accurate data and product handling.
Required Qualifications:
Proven expertise in managing
ISO 9001
systems within a manufacturing domain, plus experience leading quality teams. Strong experience in handling customer audits, addressing complaints, and facilitating corrective actions. Proficiency in manufacturing processes, ERP/MRP systems, and Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with supplier quality oversight and industry-specific standards in sectors like aerospace and oil & gas. Experience with lean methodologies and
ITAR/EAR
