Full-TimeOverviewA leading manufacturer in the glass packaging sector is seeking a highly experienced Quality Assurance Supervisor to lead inspection and testing operations within a high-volume production environment. This role is critical to ensuring all finished goods meet stringent performance, durability, and compliance standards.
IMPORTANT
Candidates with direct experience in glass container manufacturing - especially supporting beer, food, beverage, liquor, and consumer product industries - are strongly preferred. This background is considered nearly essential for success in this role.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead and oversee inspection and testing teams to ensure productivity, accuracy, and technical excellenceMonitor finished goods through mechanical and electrical testing to confirm adherence to quality standardsDevelop and interpret statistical data to define product specifications and reliability expectationsPartner with production teams by providing technical and quality guidanceEstablish, implement, and maintain quality control standards and continuous improvement initiativesDesign and enforce inspection procedures and acceptance criteriaAnalyze production data to identify trends and drive process improvementsServe as a key contact for customers, including site visits, technical consultation, and quality follow-upInvestigate quality complaints and implement timely corrective actions to ensure customer satisfactionQualificationsBachelor degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline5 to 8 years of experience in a manufacturing quality environmentStrongly preferred: hands-on experience in glass manufacturing, especially glass containers for the food, beverage, beer, liquor, or consumer products industriesCertification in ISO, SQF, or similar quality systems preferredBackground in Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologiesDemonstrated ability to collaborate with both internal manufacturing teams and external customersExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills with high attention to detailProven ability to work independently and make sound decisions based on experience and judgmentProficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and OutlookStrong knowledge of quality systems, methodologies, and best practicesWhy ApplyThis is an opportunity to play a key leadership role in a specialized manufacturing environment where product quality and consistency are critical.
