Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Poultry Quality Assurance Supervisor to oversee and maintain the highest standards of quality within our poultry manufacturing operations. This role involves ensuring compliance with industry regulations, implementing quality systems, and leading quality assurance initiatives to guarantee product safety, consistency, and excellence. The ideal candidate will possess strong analysis skills, project management capabilities, and a comprehensive understanding of quality management principles in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with
ISO 13485, ISO 9001, HACCP, CGMP, FDA
regulations, and other relevant standards. Conduct regular quality audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to established quality systems. Develop, implement, and monitor quality control procedures to maintain product safety and consistency throughout the production process. Oversee quality inspection processes, ensuring all products meet specified standards before release. Manage non-conformance issues by investigating root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure compliance with quality management protocols and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain detailed documentation of quality activities, audit reports, and compliance records in accordance with regulatory requirements. Provide training and guidance to team members on quality systems, standards, and best practices. Support project management efforts related to quality system enhancements or new product introductions. Experience Proven experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control role within the poultry or food manufacturing industry. Strong knowledge of
ISO 13485, FDA
regulations, HACCP, CGMP, ISO 9001 standards, and related regulatory frameworks. Demonstrated expertise in conducting quality audits, inspections, and analysis within a manufacturing environment. Experience managing quality systems and implementing QA/QC procedures effectively. Familiarity with project management principles and tools for leading continuous improvement projects. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data accurately and make informed decisions. Prior leadership experience supervising QA teams or departments is required with 3 yrs of experience. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to maintaining the highest standards of poultry safety and quality while working in a dynamic manufacturing setting. Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors When in a plant environment: Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces. May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity. May handle products from 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 dB to 110 db. May be exposed to dust, feathers and all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility. You must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company. Occasional exposure to carbon dioxide vapors 10ppm and chlorine less than 20 ppm. Able to stand for several hours. Work may include lifting (up to 50 lbs.), reaching, bending, pushing boxes on conveyor assembly.
