Overview Job Summary:
United Machine & Tool is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Quality Control Manager to oversee and improve all aspects of quality assurance and quality control within our manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for maintaining quality standards, leading inspection processes, driving continuous improvement, and supporting a culture of accountability and excellence throughout the organization.
Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee daily quality control operations Develop and maintain quality systems and procedures Lead continuous improvement initiatives Review customer drawings, specifications, and quality requirements Oversee first article inspections, PPAPs, dimensional layouts, and documentation Ensure compliance with customer standards and ISO requirements Manage calibration systems and inspection equipment Investigate non-conformances and implement corrective actions Work closely with production, engineering, and machining teams to resolve quality issues Develop inspection plans and standardized processes Track and report quality metrics and KPIs Assist with customer audits and supplier quality concerns Train and mentor employees on quality standards and best practices
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of manufacturing quality experience CNC machining and precision manufacturing experience preferred Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading Experience using inspection equipment including CMMs, micrometers, calipers, and height gauges Knowledge of ISO quality systems and PPAP processes Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills Problem-solving and root-cause analysis experience ERP and Microsoft Office experience required
