Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Supervisor to lead our quality management efforts within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the implementation and maintenance of quality systems, ensuring products meet rigorous standards and comply with all regulatory requirements. Your leadership will drive continuous improvement initiatives, foster cross-functional collaboration, and uphold the highest levels of quality assurance across production processes. Duties Lead and coordinate quality assurance activities across manufacturing operations, ensuring adherence
• to Food Safety Management System procedures, standards and policies. Conduct comprehensive quality audits and inspections to verify compliance with internal quality standards and external regulatory requirements. Plays a key role within operations to ensure food safety and security plans are effectively implemented. Provides technical and operational support to QA Technicians while participating in daily sample evaluation. Ensure QA technicians are properly trained, and their documentation is complete and accurate. Ensure compliance with Food Defense program and it's components. Responsible for the implementation of employee training (includes management and hourly employees). Must be able to investigate food safety and quality complaints and formulate preliminary responses. Responsible for ensuring policy and procedure changes to the food safety system are effectively communicated as appropriate Manage documentation related to quality management systems, audit reports, non-conformance reports, and compliance records with precision and transparency. Qualifications Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role with a strong focus on quality assurance or control. Exceptional team leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. Must have knowledge of HACCP, SQFs, GMPs, FDA and all other applicable State and local health and food safety codes and principles. Progressive Supervisory experience with proven leadership skills Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across departments and with external regulatory bodies. Solid experience in training/developing hourly employees. Proficiency with appropriate computer software. (Word, Excel, etc). Knowledge in SAP a plus Project management experience with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Education Bachelor's Degree in Food Science or related field preferred and/or a combination of education and experience that result in a competency to perform the job. (5+ years)
Pay:
From $65,000.00 per year
