Full-Time MS Companies is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead quality operations across multiple automotive manufacturing customer locations. This leadership position is responsible for overall quality performance, customer relationship management, operational execution, financial accountability, and team development. The Quality Manager serves as the primary customer-facing representative for quality-related matters while ensuring successful program launches, issue resolution, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will possess a strong automotive manufacturing background, proven leadership experience, and the ability to drive results in fast-paced production environments. This role requires a hands-on leader capable of managing customer expectations, leading cross-functional teams, and delivering measurable improvements in quality, delivery, and operational performance. Must-Have Qualifications Minimum 5+ years of leadership or management experience in automotive manufacturing, quality, or production environments Proven experience managing customer relationships and serving as a primary customer contact Strong experience with root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, Ishikawa) Experience leading quality, containment, sorting, rework, or manufacturing operations teams Strong understanding of automotive quality systems and customer requirements Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and reporting systems Excellent verbal and written communication skills Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship Preferred Qualifications Experience managing multiple customer sites or programs simultaneously Experience with P&L responsibility, budgeting, and cost management Salesforce or similar operational management software experience Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Business, or related discipline Experience supporting automotive launch activities and production ramp-up initiatives Previous Quality Manager, Operations Manager, Plant Quality Manager, or Program Manager experience Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or equivalent Continuous Improvement certification Experience working directly with OEM and Tier 1 automotive customers Key Responsibilities Lead all on-site quality operations, including Assistant Quality Managers, Supervisors, Team Leads, and Inspection Teams Serve as the primary customer contact for all quality-related matters and escalation activities Oversee new program launches, ensuring successful implementation of customer requirements and quality systems Drive containment, corrective action, root cause analysis, and long-term problem resolution efforts Ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and internal operating procedures Analyze quality and operational data to identify trends, risks, and continuous improvement opportunities Lead Lean Manufacturing and Operational Excellence initiatives across assigned customer accounts Manage program financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, labor utilization, and profitability Oversee sorting, containment, inspection, and rework activities when required Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, operations teams, and executive leadership Support customer audits, launch readiness reviews, and operational assessments Travel to customer locations as required to support launches, escalations, and business needs Lead strategic initiatives, special projects, and customer recovery efforts Travel Requirements Travel required based on customer and operational needs Multi-site customer support responsibilities Travel for launch activities, customer escalations, audits, and operational reviews Overnight travel may be required Physical Requirements Ability to visually identify defects in color, shape, size, texture, and appearance Ability to stand, walk, and work throughout manufacturing facilities for extended periods Ability to navigate stairs, production areas, and warehouse environments Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach overhead as required Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 30 pounds Ability to work in manufacturing environments with varying temperatures and noise levels Strong hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills Benefits Paid Time Off (PTO) Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits Career Advancement Opportunities Leadership Development Programs Flexible Scheduling Based on Business Needs Daily Pay Access Team-Oriented Company Culture About MS Companies MS Companies is a leading provider of quality services and workforce solutions supporting the automotive and manufacturing industries.
