Full-Time, On-Site Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Quality Supervisor to lead all quality assurance, quality control, and laboratory activities for our 24/7 manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for ensuring products consistently meet customer specifications, internal quality standards, and regulatory requirements across extrusion, furnace, rolling mill, and wire drawing operations. The Quality Supervisor will oversee quality technicians, inspectors, and laboratory personnel while partnering closely with Operations, Maintenance, Manufacturing Planning, Engineering, and Customer Service teams to drive continuous improvement and maintain the highest standards of product quality. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and experience managing quality systems within a manufacturing environment. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesQuality Leadership Supervise and coordinate daily activities of quality technicians, inspectors, and laboratory personnel. Ensure compliance with company quality standards, customer specifications, and applicable industry requirements. Develop and maintain quality procedures, work instructions, and inspection standards. Monitor quality performance metrics and communicate results to plant leadership. Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing defects, scrap, and customer complaints. Laboratory Management Manage all laboratory testing activities supporting production and customer requirements. Ensure accurate and timely testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products. Maintain laboratory equipment, calibration schedules, and testing procedures. Ensure laboratory personnel are properly trained and qualified. Review and approve laboratory results and certifications as required. Quality Systems & Compliance Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 and other applicable quality standards. Lead internal audits and support customer and third-party audits. Manage nonconforming material processes and corrective action programs. Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Ensure quality records, certifications, and documentation are accurate and properly maintained. Customer & Operational Support Respond to customer quality concerns and coordinate investigations. Partner with Operations to improve process capability and product consistency. Analyze trends in defects, process variation, and customer feedback. Support new product introductions, process validations, and product qualification activities. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Metallurgy, Chemistry, Industrial Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered. Minimum 5 years of quality experience within a manufacturing environment. Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience leading quality, laboratory, or technical personnel. Experience managing quality systems, testing programs, and inspection processes. Strong understanding of root cause analysis, corrective actions, statistical process control, and quality management principles. Experience interpreting technical specifications, drawings, and customer requirements. Proficiency with ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and quality reporting tools. Preferred Qualifications Experience in metals manufacturing, wire production, extrusion, rolling mill, heat treatment, or related industrial processes. Experience managing manufacturing laboratories and product testing programs.
ISO 9001
experience. ASQ certifications such as CQE, CQT, CMQ/OE, or equivalent. Experience supporting continuous 24/7 manufacturing operations. Leadership Responsibilities Lead, develop, and mentor quality and laboratory personnel. Ensure effective quality support across all production shifts. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer focus. Drive collaboration between Quality, Operations, and Maintenance teams.
