MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. NVE
is looking for a qualified electrical QC manager/journeyman electrician to oversee construction of a new facility on a military installation. 2. Oversee all electrical requirements onsite 3. Oversee that all electrical requirements are at the specifications set by the customer 4. Participate in all meetings 5. Review and approve all submittal packages by subcontractors 6. Maintain a good working relationship with construction team and customer
KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Must be able to work with government and non-government personnel in a professional and clear manner. Be able to work with different trades and construction focuses to ensure a safe environment without limiting the trades ability to complete work. Must be able to properly communicate over the phone and in writing to upper management to include Subcontractors, Suppliers, Onsite Staff, Owners, PM's, Superintendents, and Corporate Safety Officer.
QUALIFICATIONS
- The ideal candidate will have a valid state license that permits you to practice as a journeyman electrician.
- Multiple years of supervision of electricians
- Knowledgeable of local electrical codes and ability to make on the job applications
- Hands on training and work is required
- Familiar with electrical systems including ability to draw simple diagrams, read blueprints and other diagrams
- Highly organized with exceptional follow through abilities
- Highly effective computer skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High integrity with advanced social skills and ability to make solid connections
- Highly motivated self-starter who is flexible and has a great attitude
PREFERRED
- Understanding of RMS or experience working with the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)
- Experience working on a construction site
- Bluebeam
- Procore experience
