Job Description

Job Purpose We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Coordinator to oversee our quality processes and ensure compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in quality management, with expertise in FDA regulations, CGMP, and HACCP. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity of our products and ensuring that all manufacturing processes meet the highest quality standards. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures to ensure compliance with FDA regulations and CGMP standards. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to conduct inspections and measurements of products. Inspecting and calibrating measuring instruments. Oversee the operation of vision inspection systems to monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process. Responsible for pre-operative facility inspection. Conduct regular audits of production processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards. Inspecting and evaluating raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products according to specifications and standard. Provided support to the Production Floor by enforcing and monitoring the GMPs to insure quality. Conduct internal GMP and warehouse audits to assure product food safety and quality Working collaboratively with production department to enforce food safety and quality assurance protocols for Safe Food Manufacturing Train and mentor staff on quality control practices, emphasizing the importance of HACCP principles. Analyze data from quality inspections and prepare reports for management review, highlighting trends and areas needing attention. Lead investigations into non-conformance issues and implement corrective actions as necessary. Monitoring the manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to procedures and requirements specified within SOPs, and the HACCP program resulting in quick, strong decisions during operations Continuously monitoring the critical control points to maintain their effectiveness against potential hazards. Verify adherence to procedures; monitor and verify process controls, sanitation, and GMP practices. Assist Quality Manager/Supervisor in conducting Food Safety / Sanitation audits and communicate findings, recommendations and corrective actions. Involve in preparation and execution of customer / third party/Regulatory audits. Isolate and put on "HOLD" any material, product, ingredient, or packaging material, which might pose a food safety, risk or otherwise compromise product quality or integrity. Conduct weekly Listeria swabbing in rotating areas of the facility to be sent to laboratory for testing. Conduct sanitation verification program by the use of ATP luciferase unit for regular sanitation verification Conduct micro lab tests (APC, Coliform, E.coli. yeast and mold) Check and report the inventory of all materials needed for in process check (A & B reagents, starch indicator, iodine, ATP and Listeria swabs), lab check (dilution bottles, petri film, pipette tips) production aids (PS10, AS5), all PPEs every week. Conduct any other related functions as per instruction from the supervisor. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred. 3 or more years proven experience in a quality control role within a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, CGMP, HACCP, and other relevant industry standards. PCQI and HACCP Certifications Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and vision inspection systems. Familiarity with Calypso software or similar quality management systems is a plus. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
